The TamilNadu Research Park Foundation (TNRPF) represents a groundbreaking initiative born from the Government of Tamil Nadu's visionary commitment to establishing the state as India's premier science and technology innovation hub. TNRPF emerges from the state government's ambitious plan announced during the 2022-2023 budget speech to create a knowledge economy through world-class research infrastructure and international collaboration.

Foundation

TNRPF operates under the aegis of TIDCO , Department of Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce. It is established to strengthen Research, Development and Innovation activities across Tamil Nadu.

The foundation adopts a decentralized approach, establishing University Research Parks in Coimbatore and Madurai in the first phase, expanding into other Tier 2 and 3 cities based on regional strengths.

Its formation recognizes that R&D requires long-term commitment, mentorship, leadership, financial support , and time to achieve impactful, sustainable outcomes.
